Example Itinerary

Be greeted by Nasio staff at Kisumu airport and travel to Musanda by car. After arriving, have your site induction and be introduced to the charity. Have a chance to get to know each other and the Nasio staff.
Visit Noah’s Ark early childhood development centre. Have a chance to meet the children and teachers who you will later be working with. After lunch, have a home visit with the social work team. In the evening, visit Bukaya rock to watch the sunset.

In the morning, observe a lesson at St Irene’s. After lunch, plan lessons to teach students the following day. Return to the Guesthouse for a relaxed evening.

Spend the day at Noah’s Ark teaching lessons, playing with the children, and serving lunch.

Take part in Nasio’s Best Practice Seminar, an opportunity for teachers to inspire teachers as you engage in a mutual learning experience.

Spend the day at a Youth Program Workshop. Watch youth inspire youth as they engage in topics around health and motivation for education. Use your expertise to help create meaningful thought and discussion.

After breakfast, go to the Musanda Parish church to take part in the Sunday service. Have a relaxed afternoon before venturing down to Musanda Waterfalls in the early evening.

Enjoy an equatorial forest walk. Get the chance to see some local wildlife and explore the area’s rich biodiversity.

Spend time with the Spirulina team, learning about how it is used as a vital source of nutrients. In the afternoon, say your goodbyes to the staff and children you have been spending time with at the farewell party.

Say your final farewells before leaving Musanda for Kisumu airport. On your way, stop off at the Kisumu craft market to buy some souvenirs to take home.
