Example Itinerary

Arrive at the Nasio Guesthouse. Have an orientation by the Nasio staff and enjoy dinner as you get to know each other.
Start the day off by serving breakfast at St Irene. Attend a church service before having lunch at the guesthouse. In the afternoon, depart for Mumias to help with slum cleaning. Finally, visit the Bukaya Rock to enjoy some stunning views as the sun goes down.

Spend the morning at St Irene interacting with students and teachers, having a chance to experience life at one of our early childhood development centres. After lunch, take part in a home visit to a Nasio beneficiary and cook a meal for the family.

Visit a local secondary school and hand out sanitary items to students and lead a health talk to girls. After lunch, visit the original Nasio kiosk to learn about Nasio’s early beginnings. Have some time in Mumias to experience the vibrant markets and shops.

Attend art and craft lessons led by local women to immerse yourself in the culture.
Attend a talk held by local female village leaders. In the afternoon, take part in a peer education session on HIV awareness, teenage pregnancies, and gender-based violence.
In the morning, work at Nasio’s spirulina plant – a vital source of nutrients for the local community. After lunch, shadow maternity workers at the GMK medical centre.

Assist with tree planting, helping with Nasio’s sustainability goals. In the afternoon enjoy a farewell party – a chance to say goodbye and reflect on your time with Nasio.
